BIO:
Thomas Woolley is the Founder and Director of Training for the Hammers Soccer Club. In 2008, The Hammers were invited to join the top youth soccer club in the USA, and became the San Antonio Division of The Dallas Texans.
Born in Birmingham, England, Thomas started his playing career with Aston Villa as a school boy, and then went into semi pro soccer with numerous pro teams in England. He played for Tamworth Town, being the youngest player to play for the 1st team, making his debut at the age of 16. He went on to be named player of the year and leading goal scorer.

Thomas then moved onto Mansfield Town Football Club. After a short time with Mansfield Town, he was offered the chance to play professional soccer in the United States, playing with the Dallas Rockets. In the three seasons with the Dallas Rockets, he won the league title, played in the Open Cup Final. He also played in the semi final on the CONCACAF Cup, against the Mexican giant club America in Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, and such players as Mexican legend Hugo Sanchez. He was also named to two all-star teams.
After playing in Dallas, Thomas was chosen to represent England in the World Masters Cup in Dallas, where other teams from Brazil, Chile, Argentine, Columbia and the USA and numerous other countries and great players participated.
In 1990, Thomas came to San Antonio and began coaching at the Division One level. He has coached teams to several state titles and has coached over 7 high school players of the year and sent many players to play at all levels of college and even professionally. Thomas' players include Lance Key, MLS Colorado Rapids, Kerwin Johnson (MLS Tampa Bay Mutiny, the Dallas Burn, and Eintracht Braunschweig in Germany), and many other successful collegiate players.
With Thomas’ playing and coaching experience, he brings a lot to San Antonio and the Dallas Texans, and continues to develop the young men and women of South Texas into top soccer players.
Thomas holds a U.S. Soccer Federation 'B' license.
